Asante Kotoko’s striker, Steven Mukwala, has announced his resurgence in front of goal after overcoming a dry spell during the latter half of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.
Despite a challenging period, the 24-year-old found his scoring touch once again, netting in Kotoko’s 2-0 victory against Legon Cities on Matchday 29.
With eight goals in 17 appearances for the Porcupine Warriors, Mukwala credits his rejuvenation to regained confidence and teamwork.
“Yes, I’ve probably gotten back my confidence,” Mukwala said.
“Scoring in each game gives confidence as a striker, so I thank the team because it’s really a teamwork,” he added.
As Kotoko prepares to face Berekum Chelsea in Matchday 30, Mukwala’s form provides a boost to the team’s ambitions, currently positioned 10th on the league table with 40 points.
