Asante Kotoko striker Albert Amoah is optimistic about the club’s chances in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League, expressing confidence that they can compete for the title.
Amoah, who netted the decisive goal in Kotoko’s 1-0 victory over Karela United on Sunday, believes the team’s performance indicates strong potential for the season.
The match, held at the Naa Sherigaa Sports Complex in Nalerigu, marked Kotoko’s opening game of the new league season. Despite the club undergoing significant changes with the addition of over 12 new players and the departure of more than 20 from the previous squad, Amoah feels the team has quickly gelled.
“When you look at the team, it feels like a unit that has been together for a long time,” Amoah told the club’s media team. “With the quality we have, we are seriously capable of winning the Ghana Premier League this season.
”Amoah, who joined Kotoko from Division One side Great Olympics, is one of the new signings brought in to bolster the squad’s prospects this season.
