The Porcupine Warriors will be commencing their 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup game on Sunday, hosting Nigerian outfit Kwara United FC at the Accra Sports stadium.
It will the first leg of the first preliminary round with Asante Kotoko SC hoping to book qualification to the next round of qualifiers. Last weekend, they secured a narrow 1-0 win over Berekum Chelsea FC in the Ghana Premier league opener aiming at boosting their performance for the African campaign.
This triumph was made successful with talisman Albert Amoah scoring the only goal to make the difference after breaking the long standing winning jinx at Berekum Golden City park.
With their CAF Confederation Cup game scheduled for Sunday tomorrow, a formidable squad of 20-players has being paraded for the clash, with striker Kwame Poku missing with injury.
However, two of their youngsters Peter Amidu Acquah and Elvis Kyei Baffour have shaken off their injuries to join the team but only one made the squad list for the encounter replacing Kwame Poku.
The encounter is scheduled to kickoff exactly 3:00pm.
