New Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz has laid down a clear marker of intent, insisting that success is the only acceptable standard for Ghana’s senior national team.
Addressing expectations following his appointment, the Portuguese tactician emphasized a results-driven philosophy, making it clear that representing Ghana comes with a singular objective.
“If you work for Ghana, the only thing is to win, win, win,” Queiroz declared.
He further downplayed talk of long-term promises, instead focusing on a competitive mindset that prioritizes performance on the pitch.
“It’s not about promises. What I guarantee is that we will play to win,” he added.
Queiroz’s remarks signal a shift toward a more assertive and winning mentality as Ghana looks to re-establish itself among Africa’s elite and compete strongly on the global stage.
With the backing of the Ghana Football Association and growing optimism among fans, the focus now turns to translating this ambition into tangible results in upcoming competitions, including the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
