The mother of the late Asante Kotoko supporter Francis Frimpong, known as Pooley has expressed deep pain and frustration over what she describes as neglect following the death of her son.
Speaking emotionally about the tragedy, she lamented the circumstances surrounding his passing and the lack of support she has received since the incident.
“My son has been killed like a chicken and everybody has neglected me just like that,” she told Ezra TV.
Her comments highlight the continuing grief and emotional trauma faced by the family as they seek justice and support in the aftermath of the supporter’s death.
The incident involving the deceased Kotoko fan sparked widespread reactions within Ghana football, with many supporters and stakeholders calling for accountability and improved safety measures at match venues.
The family is still awaiting further developments a year on after the passing of their beloved.
The prime suspect, Daniel Febiri, remains at large after reportedly escaping to Senegal through Côte d’Ivoire. His girlfriend who allegedly helped him escape has been arrested and still in custody.
