Asante Kotoko SC are still in hunt for a first team head coach after ending the 2025/26 league season without a substantive trainer.
The Ghanaian heavyweight, last season commenced their campaign with Abdul Karim Zito but fired him along the long for his deputy Prince Yaw Owusu but he could not also last, abandoning his role as interim for Kotoko youth team coach Hamza Obeng.
With the change in technical direction, left the Porcupine Warriors 8th on the log.
A reason the Ghana Premier league record holders (25) are bent on recruiting an experienced and capable tactician for the big job. With the role still vacant, Croatian gaffer who previously managed the club Zdravko Logarusic is interested in the job and not ruling out a possible return to Ghana and Asante Kotoko SC.
Speaking in an interview with Martin Tawiah on GhanaSportsPage.com disclosed that he’s already received calls from Ghana and sees Ghana as his second home, hence will not hesitate returning should a deal from the West African country fall in place.
“Ghana is my second home, more like my second love having lived there for three years.”
“Am open to negotiating with any club in Ghana. We have some teams growing well like Medeama. Kotoko and Hearts are traditional powerhouse, “he said.
“Either Asante Kotoko or Hearts of Oak, am ready. I know the level of pressure at Kotoko, especially outside of the field, politics, and supporters, but if the offer comes, why not? Let’s see, “
“I already receive calls from Ghana, but let’s wait to see in the next 7 to 10-days, what happens?” Zdravko concluded.
The Reds have failed to win the Ghana Premier league in the last four seasons, leaving them craving for one.
