Premier league side Asante Kotoko have confirmed their captain and goalkeeper Felix Annan is injured and will be out for weeks.
Annan picked an injury in the latter stages of Asante Kotoko’s premier league Match Day Two fixtures against Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park last Sunday. The former WAFA academy star was replaced in the 90th minute with Kwame Baah after he sustained an injury during an aerial challenge causing him a thigh injury.
Asante Kotoko have now taken to social media to announce the extend of the injury, confirming that Annan will be out of action for “few weeks”.
“A musculoskeletal ultrasound scan conducted on Felix Annan confirmed a muscle tear in his right thigh. Our Captain starts his rehabilitation and will be out for a few weeks”, Asante Kotoko wrote on Twitter.
The injury means Felix Annan will miss the club’s Champions League match against Mauritanian side Nouadhibou slated for to take place between November 27 and 29.
