Premier league side Elmina Sharks are set to hold crunch contract talks with SEVEN players of the first team whose contracts are running out with the new Ghana premier league season set to start next month.
Notable among the seven players is the clubs star winger Benjamin Tweneboah whose silky dribbling skills has earned him the love of the fans of Elmina Sharks who have named him after Paris Saint German super star ENeymar, comparing him to the Brazilian on several occasions.
Tweneboah, one of the best wingers in the domestic league, has a contract with the Elmina based club which runs out in the next two weeks and is expected to be presented with an improved offer by his club to study. It is however unlikely that the winger will commit his future to the club and may look to seek a new challenge elsewhere after five seasons at the Nduom sports stadium.
Other players who will meet the club today to consider their future with the club include defenders Ishmael Harmond, skipper Daniel Obeng Clinton and Kingsley Adjei. Midfielders Emmanuel Adinton and Isaac Donkor.
Goalkeeper Richard Atta completes the list as his contract with the club is less than three months and will hold talks with the club today to determine his future.
Benjamin Tweneboah and Richard Atta have been heavily linked with moves to 20 times league champions Accra Hearts of Oak and this moment will prove very key as the domestic transfer window remains opened till December 13.
Clubs like Asante Kotoko, Ashantigold SC, Medeama SC and others are keenly monitoring the situation and and may be ready for business should any of the bove mentioned players become available.
