Indian Super League side NorthEast United have announced the signing of all time Black Stars top scorer Asamoah Gyan in a new deal.
Fox FM broke the news on Wednesday that the former Kaysarispor striker is in advanced talks to join the Indian top division side, and the deal has now been confirmed by the club.
In a 48-second video released on the club’s official Facebook Account, The Highlanders announced the signing of Gyan with a nice video highlighting the enviable records of the Black Stars super star, welcoming him to his new club.
“We have a star coming your way, former captain of Ghana, most capped Ghanaian player, highest goalscorer for Ghana, AFC Champions League top scorer (2014), BBC African Player of the Year 2010, CAF Team of the Year 2010, 2013, 2014, BABY JET……WELCOME”, the video featured.
The regular 2019/2020 Indian Super League season, which will be the sixth edition of the Indian football league after its establishment in 2013, will begin on Sunday, 20th October, 2019 and end in March 2020. Gyan will soon join his new teammates for his official presentation ahead of the start of the new season.
