Ibrahim Salifu has been a class player so far for Hearts of Oak this season, and some has even hailed him as the replacement for some former Hearts of Oak legends.
Most Hearts of Oak legends has hailed Salifu as a mix of Don Bortey and Charles Taylor after a fine start to life at the club.
Hearts of Oak wonder-kid Ibrahim Salifu has now responded to the Fabio Gama comparisons, and while he said he is his own player, he also admitted that he is still understanding the game.
“We are playing different roles, I started my career as a number 7, until I joined Hearts of Oak then my position changed to a number 10” he told Fox Fm in an interview.
“Fabio Gama is a natural no 10, we are all excelling at our respective roles”
“I have so much respect for Fabio Gama, particularly coming from a different continent to play for Asante Kotoko, and putting up such a performance in this demanding league”
Gama who joined the Porcupines prior to the start of the 2020/21 season has provided 5 assists, scoring two goals in the process whereas Salifu Ibrahim nicknamed ‘Di Maria’ has set up six goals with two goals to his credit.
