Ghana Premier League Champions (GPL) Hearts of Oak have completed the signing of Samatex FC winger, Benjamin Yorke on a four-year deal that runs until 2025.
The Phobians beat competition from arch-rivals Asante Kotoko and Medeama SC to secure the signature of the youngster for a fee of GHC 60,000, Samatex spokesman Kwasi Abronomah Mensah confirmed to ghanasportspage.com.
Benjamin Yorke despite completing his move to the capital will miss out on Hearts of Oak’s qualifying round of the CAF Champions League as the club has already summited the 36-man-list to CAF.
The speedster had a scintillating season with the second-tier side netting 12 goals in 23 games in the just ended Division One Zone Two. However, his output was not enough to secure promotion for Samatex as they finish third behind Bibiani Gold Stars and Sky FC.
The 21-year-old joined the Samreboi based club in the 2014/2015 season and has eventually ended a 6-year stay with the Green and Whites.
Yorke is now the 6th signing by the double champions in the current transfer window.
