Former Asante Kotoko midfielder, Martin Antwi has joined Guinean side Club Industriel de Kamsar in a one year deal, Ghanasportspage.com can exclusively report.
The 27-year-old has completed his move to the Yellow and Greens following a successful mandatory medical test.
Antwi joined the Guinean club few days after his contract termination at Kotoko. The deal happened at the blind side of many Ghanaian journalists.
Kamsar recently added to their books, former Asante Kotoko captain Amos Frimpong in a one-year deal and former Samartex striker Sampson Eduku.
Antwi, Eduku and Frimpong are expected to bring their experience on board when Kamsar prepare to host Hearts next month.
The club has been drawn against Hearts of Oak in the preliminary round of the 2021-22 CAF Champions League which begins between 10-12 September in Guinea with the return leg, taking place a week after at the Accra sports stadium.
Martin Antwi joined Asante Kotoko in 2018 under CK Akonnor.
Antwi was sidelined for unknown reasons prior to the commencement of the 2020-21 season. He was denied access to the club’s training sessions, not registered for the first round of the just ended season. Martin was recalled to train with the team prior to the start of the second round but failed to break into the match day squad.
The silky midfielder’s last appearance for Kotoko was against Elmina Sharks on March 12, 2020, at the Accra Sports Stadium in the truncated season.
During that season, Antwi made 10 appearances and found the back of the net once.
