Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club, commonly referred to as Hearts of Oak based in Accra. Hearts of Oak was Founded on 11th November 1911. Phoobia is the oldest football club competing in the Ghana Premier League.
Red, yellow and blue is the colours of the club. Hearts of Oak is also the longest traditional club in the Greater Accra Region.
Hearts of Oak play their home matches at the Accra Sports Stadium and have dominated the GPL title for 28 times also winning the FA Cup 11 times, Ghana Super Cup, a joint record three times champions, President’s Cup four times, CAF Champions League, CAF Confederations League and CAF Super Cup once each.
The Ghanaian club was also ranked eighth football club in the world in the year 2000 when the club dominated most of the continent’s sporting activities.
In 2004, Hearts of Oak beat their counterpart and long time rivals Asante Kotoko 8-7 on penalty shootout to win the CAF Confederations Cup after 2-2 draw which will forever be remembered by the club.

Hearts is the only football club in West Africa to have won a Continental Treble. During the colonial period, Hearts of Oak won a combined total of 8 football league trophies in the Accra Football League and the Gold Coast Club Competition, both precursors to the Ghana Premier League.
They won their first major match in 1922 when Sir Gordon Guggisberg, then Governor of the Gold Coast, organized the Accra Football League. Hearts won 6 out of 12 seasons in this league.
Asante Kotoko is the longest rivary is Kumasi Asante and Accra Great Olympics as their city rivals.
Former President of the National House of Chiefs and Agbogbomefia of the Asogli, Togbe Afede XIV (born James Akpo) is the chairman of the club.
Samuel is the current coach of the team who led the team to win treble last season. Both the GPL and the FA Cup and was automatically named as the champions of the Super Cup.
Fatawu Mohammed is the current captain of the club.
Hearts of Oak is the only Ghanaian club competing in a CAF competition this year having kicked out from the Champions League to play in the Confederations Cup after a humiliating 6-1 defeat against WAC of Morocco.
