Former Black Satellites, Asante Kotoko right back Samuel Inkoom is inches away from sealing his expected move to the nation’s capital based club Accra Hearts of Oak, after featuring in the club’s low friendly match against Decent soccer Academy on Wednesday.
The 2009 FIFA U20 World Cup champion played a total of 45 minutes in the said game at the Apenkwa Astro Turf on Wednesday morning where he assisted the club to a massive 8-0 win over the second tier side.
Inkoom delighted fans with massive performance in the game, earning lots of applause from the Hearts of Oak fans present at the match venue to watch the game. The display of a master class performance got Hearts of Oak fans convinced that the former Asante Kotoko right back would be a great signing for the club to solve the seeming challenges at the right back position.
The 32-year old former FC Basel star was simply a delight to watch, and has left many convinced that he has still got a lot more to offer as far as football at the top level is concerned. We gather, that his deal to Hearts of Oak could be a done deal by close of the week, and could be available for a competitive debut for the Phobians in the coming games.
Inkoom was earlier linked with a return to Asante Kotoko, where he played between 2008 and 2009, but the leadership of the club are reported to have turned him down, and now the he heads to the club’s bitterest rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak.
Hearts of Oak winger Patrick Razak was impressed with Inkoom’s impact in the game, and took to Twitter after the game to express his impression about the World Cup winner.
It is just a matter of time, and the former Sekondi Hasaacas man would become a phobian, all things being equal.
