The Bright Addae Foundation, owned by the former U-20 World Cup Winner Bright Addae, has initiated an innovative measure to generate funds in support of the need in society, which is through the sale of customized goalkeepers gloves.
Founded in the year 2016, the Bright Addae Foundation is a non-profit organisation set up for the purpose of supporting the less privileged and persons who need special assistance for survival in society.
To help generate funds in support of its operations, the foundation has customized goalkeepers gloves with the logo of the foundation and the number ’19’ which represents the jersey number of the foundation owner, who has spent most of his career playing in Italy.
The made in Italy goalkeepers gloves will be sold to clubs in the Ghana Premier League, the national Division One League clubs, the Italian Serie A clubs, the Serie C clubs as well as other individual goalkeepers who desire for it. Monies to be gathered from the sale of the customized gloves will go into the account of the foundation, and will be used to support the foundation’s charity operations.
Administrator for the Foundation, Mr. Dickson Boadi explained the need for this initiative.
“Even though the Afro-Arab Group and its Chairman Alhaji Salamu Amadu are supporting us to cater for the needy we also have to do something because it is written that heaven helps those who help themselves. We call upon corporate Ghana and all benevolent individuals to donate to the Foundation and support us to help the needy”, he told ghanasportspage.com in a briefing.
The Foundation has previously donated to the needy including widows in Assin Fosu, The Ghana Skatesoccer Association among others.
Personalities who have been supporting the activities of the Bright Addae Foundation include Afro-Arab Group Chairman Alhaji Salamu Amadu, Dr. K.K Peprah, Serena Camela, Black Stars midfielder Mubarak Wakaso among others.
