AFCON Qualifiers: "We lost the game against Ghana due to bad officiating"- Sudan coach angrily voices out

The Black Stars on Thursday, November 12, 2020, hosted the North African counterparts in the first fixture of a double header tie at the Cape Coast stadium and lashed them two unanswered goals the team will be traveling to Khartoum, on Tuesday, November 17th for the reverse fixture.

Coach Hubert Velud who took over Sudan’s coaching job last February had their first competitive game in Cape coast yesterday for the 2021 African Nations cup qualifiers against Ghana and lost the said match.

In the press conference coach, Hubert Velud said the refereeing performance was very bad, and that there was a clear penalty kick with striker Abdel Rahman that was not counted. He praised the performance of his players, indicating that he was satisfied with the team performance in general.

The captain of the visiting team Ammar Tayfour also praises the performance in general.”The national team played a good match and we explored the Ghanaian team during the match and we will be ready for the return match on 17th November,2020.

Ghana tops the group with 9 points, South Africa and Sudan follow with 3 points while Sao Tome and Principe are on the last of the group without any point.
