It has been revealed that Ashgold coach Romain Folz is claiming his work was being interfered with, necessitating his departure from the former champions of Ghana.
The sporting world woke up on Tuesday to the news of the Ashgold coach fleeing from Obuasi with ghansportspage.com breaking the news of his departure from the country after he was spotted at the Kotoka International Airport. He has since arrived back home safely with his friend and goalkeeper’s trainer Rodriguez Lazaro Manu.
The coach told a close ally before leaving that he was not happy with the consistent interference of technical duties from the Ashgold leaders and decided to leave so as not to create further divisions in the team.
In a related development, Ashgold President Dr. Kwaku Frimpong is shocked at the turn of events and is considering taking on the coach for unilaterally leaving the post without permission.
Emmanuel Frimpong, who is the CEO of the club also laments that though they have still not heard from Romain, they are already making plans and confirmed Ghanasportspage.com story that former Ghanaian international Thomas Duah has been tasked to lead the team in the meantime.
This website understands that players of the club read the news on this website with shock and wondered what is happening but management has assured the players especially and the supporters to remain calm as the club is focused on taking the three points against Eleven Wonders on Sunday at the Len Clay Sports Stadium.
