CK Akonnor breaks silence after his sacking as Black Stars manager

Charles Kwabla Akonnor has said his goodbye message following his exit as the head coach of the Senior National Team.

Akonnor was shown the exit on Monday September, 13 after the Ghana Football Association(GFA)’s Executive Counsel met on the said date to decide the fate of the gaffer.

The ex-Asante Kotoko trainer who had four months left in his contract managed 11 matches, won 5, drew 2 and lost 4.

CK edged closer to an exit after a 1-0 defeat to South Africa in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers, which led to many calling for his head as some questioned his tactical aptitude.

The former Hearts of Oak coach took to Twitter to bid his farewell to team, thePresident of Ghana H.E Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo, the Youth and Sports ministry, the GFA, colleagues, as well as his predecessor James Kwesi Appiah.
