Former Dynamo Brest forward Dickson Afoakwa has been training with Asante Kotoko ahead of his prospective move to the Ghana Premier League side.

The 23-year-old, who has been unattached since December 2019 after terminating his contract with South African outfit, Stellenbosch FC have been training with the Porcupines since the club began their preseason on Monday in a bid to secure a contract with the club ahead of the 2021/22 Ghana Football Season.

The Reds who are busy in the transfer market could sign the former Cornerstones FC winger should he impress Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum who is keen on adding up to his set-up in a bid to make it to Africa again next year.

Ghanasportspage.com’s sources within the club has hinted that Afoakwa has already impressed the technical team and a two-year contract will be offered to him in the coming days.

The nimble-footed winger can operate on both flanks and has on several times been deployed as a center-forward due to his ability to link up play.

Afoakwa previously had stints in Europe with Belarusian clubs Dinamo Brest and Gomel, as well as Slovenian side NK Triglav.
