Astute Ghanaian Sports Journalist Kwabena Yeboah has called on Asante Kotoko SC technical team to have a word with Goalkeeper Razak Abalora.
The former WAFA shot-stopper joined the Porcupine Warriors early this season on a three-year contract after refusing a contract extension with Tanzania giant’s Azam FC. He attained the first-choice position upon arrival, benching their skipper Felix Annan.
Razak, 24, has been regarded as one of the finest Goalkeepers in the Ghana Premier League. Recording 14 clean sheets since joining Asante Kotoko SC.
However, he has come under intense scrutiny following his abysmal performance for the side in recent games. Misplacing passes and losing concentration in the goal post.
Speaking to Oyerepa FM, Sports Writers Association of Ghana(SWAG) President Kwabena Yeboah says the shot-stopper is getting complacent and needs to be cautioned.
“Razak Abalora is getting a bit complacent”
“I don’t know what is wrong with him, one error he keeps repeating that error over and over and over and I think that somebody should draw his attention especially his technical team that he’s getting complacent”
“It’s not all the time that you should so call a play from the back and it’s not the first time he made that mistake and also at the national level”, he concluded.
