Players and the technical team of the national women’s premier league will undergo a Covid-19 test under the supervision of the CAF covid-19 team headed by Dr. Christen in cooperation with GFA.
Kumasi-based side Kumasi sports Academy ladies will be the first club to undergo the covid-19 test on Monday, March 22, 2021, at the Tarfo Government hospital.
Ghana Football Association and CAF covid-19 team have set Monday to Thursday to undergo this mandatory test in Ghana(22nd to 25th March 2021) and they will start in the Northern sector.
Before the start of the 2020/2021 season each club underwent this covid-19 test, CAF in cooperation with Ghana Football Association(GFA) have to conduct a mandatory covid-19 test before the commencement of the second round
All 16 teams are mandatory to undergo the covid-19 test. Kumasi Sports Academy ladies will go through the mandatory test on Monday. This is in line with the requirements of the Ghana Football Association to ensure that clubs set to participate in the 2020/2021 WPL campaign do so with strict adherence to the covid-19 protocols.
Ghana women’s premier league are currently on break, and expected to be on the field on 15th April, 2021.
