Asante Kotoko newly appointed Board member Evelyn Nsiah Asare has delightfully expressed her immeasurable gratitude to the owner and life patron of the club, His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II for the cherishable honour done her to serve as Board member of the club.
The Black Princesses Welfare Manageress was named to serve on a nine-member Board of Directors appointed by Asante Kotoko life patron on Thursday, May 28, 2020 and Evelyn has described her appointment as an “honour to serve” the club.
Following the official announcement last Thursday, Evelyn has taken to her official twitter account to express her appreciation to the Asantehene for the honour done her by giving her the opportunity to serve Asante Kotoko, thereby following the foot steps of her grandfather, Mr. Francis Dominic Nsiah Asare of blessed memory, who also served the Porcupine Warriors as Chairman of the club in the 1970s.
“It is an honour to be called upon to serve such a great brand like @AsanteKotoko_SC. I am therefore very much grateful to His Royal Highness, Opemsuo Otumfuo Osei Tutu 11 for such a great honour and opportunity”, Evelyn twitted.
Evelyn is an established person in football administration, having worked with some of Ghana’s female national teams and has given much to women’s football growth in Ghana. She is presently the head of sports at the Sunyani Technical University female sports team. With her varied experience in football, the fully trained journalist is optimistic of success in her new portfolio and has pledged her commitment and availability to the Asante Kotoko family to work hard to move the club steps forward.
“I pledge to always avail myself whenever duty calls and to do my very best to help build a much greater Asante Kotoko SC. It is always a pleasure to serve my Kingdom and my King”, she promised.
