MATCH REPORT: Medeama SC beat Elmina Sharks in a five goal thriller


The Ghana Premier League match day 32 fixture between Medeama SC and Elmina Sharks lived up to expectation at the Akoon park in Tarkwa when the home side received earlier beatens after they woke-up from their wrong side.

Elmina Sharks from the blast of the whistle exhibited a form of anger and torment without holding on their gears for a minute. On the third minute, Tahir Mensah offered the visitors the lead with a close range finish.

Medeama SC quickly picked up the pieces to attack the Fearsome Sharks who had shown eagerness to predate.

Fatawu Sulemana netted the much needed equalizer with a brilliant power on the 11th minute to set Akoon park ablaze.

Sharks denied the homers the space to operate in the midfield of the park as they kept pushing off attacks to the left flank. First half ended with both teams netting twice to spearhead the second department after Edmond Asiedu’s 21st minute goal was cancelled out by Vincent Atingah Addae on the 45th minute.

Much hungry side of Medeama SC was seen displaying and dominating play to the disadvantage of Elmina Sharks who look uncertain whether to park the bus or attack.

An hour passed with both teams making incursions at goal but efficiency upfront needed improvement.

Ebenezer Achahbi having lacked accuracy at the opponent half came in with a deserving lead on the last embers of the game.

It ended 3-2 at the Akoon park in favor for Medeama SC.

The win means the Mauves and Yellow outfit have amassed 51 points after match day 32.
