Ghana Premier league giants Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak supporters are left disappointed as the much awaited friendly match between the two clubs to take place in London has been postponed.
The match was scheduled to be played at the Barnet stadium on 7th March this year, but copious downpour in the last few days has hugely affected the pitch, forcing organizers of the match to postpone it. Matches of the National League club, Barnet, have also been postponed.
According to the Barnet Chairman, Tony Kleathous, “There is no real problem with the pitch that a dry spell and a bit work would not quickly resolve, but we have barely had a day without rain since September, and the forecast one in hundred year event has now become our reality.”
Organizers of the match, HRH Sports Consult and ProBall International, in consultation with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the two clubs have settled on Easter Saturday, 11th April, 2020 as the new date for the much anticipated match.
