Chairman of the Upper East Regional Football Association Salifu Zida has been elected member of the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association.
Salifu beat his competitor Robert Duncan, chairman of the Central Regional Football Association in the contest with a landslide victory after amassing 6 out of the 7 votes cast.
The pair polled same number of votes during the October Presidential and Executive Council elections after going two rounds with no votes to separate the two.
Salifu Zida will now join the eastern regional FA boss Linford Asamoah Boadu as the two representatives of the RFAs on the Executive Council of the GFA.
