South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns is the latest club to show interest in signing Hearts of Oak talisman Kwadwo Obeng Junior.

The 22-year-old forward had an impeccable 2020-21 season, scoring 10 league goals to help the Phobians clinch the Premier League trophy to end their 12-year trophy drought.

His performance in the just-ended season has earned him plaudits from fans and connoisseurs of the game and has attracted interest from clubs on the African continent and in europe.

Premier Soccer League clubs, Mamelodi Sundowns who won their 11th league title this season together with Amazulu are the latest clubs to register interest in the Dormaa-born striker.

According to multiple reports in South Africa, Sundowns are preparing a bid for the former Nea Salamina striker with a view of signing him on for the upcoming season.

It is unknown whether Hearts of Oak who are bent on keeping their players this season for their African campaign will accept to sell their priceless asset.
