Board Chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak, Togbe Afede XIV and President of Asogli Traditional Area, has stated that club’s new gaffer is a man of integrity.
Hearts of Oak announced the appointment of former coach Samuel Boadu as the new head coach of the club in the nex three years.
The former Medeama SC coach has been tasked to help the Hearts of Oak to reclaim its pre-eminent position.
Hearts of Oak has been without a League trophy in a decade and the new gaffer is seen as the person to start the new revolution.
Togbe Afede XIV expressing his view about the new coach said, “We see him as a man of integrity who is looking for an opportunity, one which Hearts is able to provide him. The board is very confident that we have gotten the right person.”
“Our desire for him did not arise after the departure of Papic, he has been our long term target, the good news is that Hearts has been his long term target as well.”
Boadu comes in to replace interim coach Samuel Nii Noi who stepped up to coach the side after the resignation of Kosta Papic.
Nii Noi picked up two wins and a draw in his three games in charge laying a good foundation for Boadu to impose himself unto the team.
The immediate task for the new coach is to close the four point gap between the Accra-based club and table toppers Karela United.
He will pocket $2,500 as monthly salary according to report.
