Former Asante Kotoko defender Awal Mohammed has urged Ghanaians to invest in Women’s Football in the country.
The former Porcupine Warriors in an exclusive interview with ghanasportspage.com appealed to the good people of Ghana and corporate bodies to invest in the good talents of our female players.
“We should help our ladies to develop well in the game. They deserve better than this, there are so many people who are well resourced and can help so they should come out and help”, he said.
According to Awal, there are a lots of talented players in the system who needs a little bit of push to make it big.
“We have a lot of quality players in Ghana both men and women in the system who need to be pushed”,
“We shouldn’t say we are waiting for the Leagues to be better before we decide to help, no ,we must all come on board and help to make it better as we may want it to be”. He added.
The second round of the National Women’s Premier League is expected to resume in the middle of April.
