Karela United duo Diawisie Taylor and Emmanuel Keyeke have been handed call ups to the join the camp of the Black Stars B as the team prepares for a crucial CHAN qualifier against Burkina Faso and the WAFU tournament to be staged in Senegal next month.
Coach Maxwell Konadu invited 28 players for camping yesterday for the two national assignments, and has now invited the two players to take the number to 30.
Both Diawisie and Keyeke played a very instrumental role in Normalization Committee Special competition tier one for Karela en-route to the final where they lost to Asante Kotoko on penalties. Midfielder Emmanuel Keyeke turned the heads of fans during the tournament making transfer target for several clubs in the domestic league. Diawisie Taylor, who scored lots of goals for Karela, attracted several interest from premiership clubs including Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak, Ashantigold SC and Aduana Stars, but the Aiyinase based club refused to sell to local clubs as he nears a move abroad.
The late invitation Keyeke and Diawisie means Karela United now have a total of five players in coach Maxwell’s 30-man squad following the call ups of goalkeeper Isaac Hegan, Isaac Kwan in defence as well as Solomon Sarfo Taylor in the heart of midfield.
