Foxfmonline.com gathers reliable reports that the defending champions of the Ghana Premier League Aduana Stars have joined the race to sign Asante Kotoko star striker Sogne Yacouba.
The Burkinabe international has failed to reach an agreement to extend his contract with the Porcupine Warriors, and would be completely out of contract with the club by April this year.
Yacouba and his representatives wants a sum $150,000 before the player extends his contract, but the club has categorically stated that it is unable to meet such a figure. Efforts to negotiate for a compromise between the player and the club have proved futile and Yacouba now looks certain to leave freely on expiration of his current contract.
Foxfmonline.com can reveal, that officials of Aduana Stars will meet with the representatives of Yacouba on Saturday to negotiate for a possible transfer of the former Stade Malien forward to the Dormaa based club.
Asante Kotoko head coach Maxwell Konadu has told the player to sort out his future issues with the club before he will be allowed to play again for the club. The situation has seen the player out of the club’s recent matches and will only play again probably should he reduce his demands.
