The Appeals Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has finally delivered its verdict on the appeal filed by former coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Mr. Frank Nutal, which sought an overturn of the earlier ruling of the Players’ Status Committee that went in favour of the Phobians.
Accra Hearts of Oak terminated the appointement of the Scottish coach in February, 2018 on grounds that Mr Nutal, was indulging in facilitating the transfer of players out of the club in clear breach of his contractual terms with the Accra based club. Nutal unsuccessfully dragged the club to the Players’ Status Committee, and further filed an appeal at the Appeals Committee of the GFA seeking a reversal of the ruling of the Players’ Status Committee. The appeal was filed by Mr Nutal on 23rd May, 2019, and Hearts of Oak filed a response.
The Appeals Committee has now released its ruling on the matter, with Hearts of Oak emerging victorious.
