The apex body of Asante Kotoko supporters union, the National Circles Council (NCC) has congratulated newly appointed Chief Executive Officer for the club Nana Yaw Amponsah following his official unveiling on Friday, August 7, 2020.
Amponsah, former President of second tier side Phar Rangers football club was unveiled on Friday to fill the vacancy of the club’s CEO after George Amoako left the position controversially recently.
In a statement signed by Christopher Demenya, Executive Chairman of the NCC, the national body of Asante Kotoko supporters welcomed Amponsah and congratulated him on his appointment by the Board of Directors of the club, giving credit to the Board and describing their activities as having brought a “fresh breath of air” to the club.
“The National Circles Council (NCC) of Asante Kotoko first congratulates Nana Yaw Amponsah following his appointment by the Board of Directors of the club a the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). We warmly welcome him to Ghana’s biggest football club by all standards and indeed one of the famous clubs in Africa”, the statement read.
While thanking the Board for the success in securing the signature of one of the most innovation driven young football administrators in a shape of Nana Yaw Amponsah as CEO for Asante Kotoko, the NCC has as well thrown their support behind Amponsah and described his appointment as a new direction taken by the club.
“We are grateful to the Board for this development. The NCC believes in the new direction the club has taken. We assure Nana Yaw Amponsah our total support at all times”, the statement assured.
Amponsah signed three years deal with the club and, as the youngest CEO ever the history of the club, time will be the ultimate decider on his fate with the record league winners.
