The players and technical team of premier league side Asante Kotoko have completed the mandatory covid-19 tests which was held of Tuesday morning, as the club gears up to commence training for the start of the 2020/2021 football season.
The mandatory medical tests was carried out on the said persons at the club’s secretariat in Kumasi on Tuesday. All players and technical team members were tested for covid-19, with the results to be available in the coming days.
With the season set to start on November 13, the players had their normal preseason medical checks on Monday and have now taken the covid-19 aspect today.
New imports Emmanuel Keyeke and Mubarik Yusif reportedly had their medicals at the Komofo Anokye Teaching Hospital on Monday, while the entire squad of the old players also took their turn on Tuesday at the club’s secretariat.
The tests were done under the supervision of the club’s medial team and other medical experts invited for the exercise. The completion of the coovi-19 test opens the door for training to commence for coach Maxwell Konadu to get his team in shape for the football season.
The exercise is in line with the Ghana FA directives for all clubs to conduct coronavirus test before resuming training.
