The leadership of Asante Kotoko has taken drastic steps to ease growing concerns among their fans and stakeholders of the club about the emerged prices of their Errea replica jerseys.
Errea, Italian sports kits manufacturers and official kits partners of Asante Kotoko, released the prices of their replica jerseys including that of the Porcupine Warriors on their website, and the figures involved appears exorbitant to the fans of the Ghanaian club, causing huge scare.
According to the circulating information, fans would have to pay at least €60 for replica jersey, an approximate equivalence of GHC414.00 per the current exchange rate.
The news engendered uneasiness among sections of Asante Kotoko fans on social media as they raise stern concerns over the said prices which they see to be way above their reach.
As a result, the club has swiftly calmed the situation with a statement on Twitter, assuring fans of a special discounts to be enjoyed by their fans on the prices of the jerseys. This, the club explained, is due to a special arrangement they have with Errea which will see their fans acquire the jerseys at relative low prices.
“Kindly be informed that as part of our partnership with Errea , Asante Kotoko shall enjoy discount prices of replica jerseys and not the same as displayed on Errea e-commerce site. We will announce our Replica jerseys prices and sales outlets to the public soon”, the club wrote on Twitter.
