Division One League side Young Apostles FC have distanced themselves from the rest of Brong Ahafo clubs who have threatened to quit the Division One League due to what they term as “Unfairness”.
Barely 24-hours that a letter was forwarded to the Ghana Football Association by aggrieved clubs from the Brong Ahafo region threatening to withdraw from the ongoing Division One League on claims that, the association is a manipulator of certain matches and bent on ensuring that a certain team emerges victorious in certain matches, one club, Young Apostles has shown commitment to staying in the league.
Having threatened the FA with the letter, Young Apostles FC have released a statement urging the Ghana Football Association to deal with hooliganism in Zone One, work on petitions sent before them and work towards instituting a better space void of disrupt.
In the release, they [Young Apostles] committed their future with the league and emphasised on not withdrawing.
“In compliance with the rules and regulations guiding the conduct of the leagues, we petitioned the Ghana Football Association on these happenings. We urge the GFA to expedite actions on these petitions and bring resolutions to same. We call on all stakeholders to immediately institute measures towards forestalling the future occurance of unlawful conducts that are already destroying the beauty of the game”
“Conclusively, we wish to firmly reiterate our commitment to the league and by this statement, state unequivocally, that Young Apostles FC has no intention of withdrawing from the league”, part of the club statement read.
