Numerous Hearts of Oak supporters unlawfully broke onto the pitch to celebrate the joyous moment with the playing body after the team defeated Ashanti Gold in the MTN FA Cup final.
Hearts of Oak won the MTN sponsored League Cup at the expense of the Miners at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The game went down to the wire as the current Ghana Premier League Champions had to rely on penalties to beat a stubborn Ashanti Gold side.
Hearts were eventually 8-7 victors in the shoutouts after 120 minutes of football saw no goal.
The Rainbow team following the win completed what has been a memorable campaign as double champions for the first time in 21 years.
The ecstatic fans could not hold their joy among themselves in the stands as they invaded the pitch to celebrate with the players. Unfortunately, the security reacted quickly by guiding them off the field for the official presentation of the trophy to take place.
