Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac addressed the press at the AFCON Group C pre-match conference in Cameroon on Thursday, and has made assurances of improved performance of the Black Stars against the Gabonese national team.
Ghana will play against Gabon in their second match of the group on Friday. Ghana is without any point in the tournament yet and are still searching their first goal of their 23rd Cup of Nations campaign. Their next opponent, Gabon have in their bags 3 points already after beating Comoros by a lone goal in their fist game.
In his pre-match press conference on Thursday, coach Milovan has stated that his side are much focused on nothing but a win over Gabon, and further assures that the Black Stars will play much better than they did against Morocco in the group opener.
“Definitely we are trying to improve our performance, and in our next match (against Gabon), expect us to play much better and be more efficient in front of the opponent post”, Milovan told the press.
Many fans of the Black Stars seem still hunted by the loss to Morocco in the opening match, but coach Milovan Rajevac insists Ghana is much focused on the game against Gabon, and the players are ready for a positive outcome.
“We are concentrating. Our focus is on the Gabon match, so we stand as a team and be prepared well. I have faith in my players and we are ready for the match tomorrow (Friday, January 14)”, he added.
Ghana are currently sitting bottom of Group C without any point. Gabon is leading the group, having 3 points with a goal difference of 1, with Morocco coming second with same stats.
