Asante Kotoko’s ex-captain and goalkeeper, Felix Annan is keeping his faith for a national team call-up in the future. Annan was among Ghana’s squad for the Egypt 2019 AFCON.
After parting ways with the GPL side last year, Annan was out from the pitch for a long time before signing a contract with the American side, Maryland Bobcats FC.
Speaking with Ghanasportspage.com, the ex-GPL winner uttered, “I understand because sometimes ago I was earning a call-up every time but little changes happened because I was not having enough playing time. I was out for a while. It is my dream to work very hard and get back to the Black Stars. For now, I thank God that is back and playing again. I will just do my best and if the time comes I will be happy to come when they see that I am doing a great job. I am very ready to come back and serve the nation of Ghana.”
The 27-year old goalkeeper has made three caps for the Black Stars.
He made his debut for Ghana in a 1–0 friendly defeat against Namibia on 9th June before the 2019 AFCON.
