Following the filling of a complaint by Accra Hearts of Oak against referee Joseph Kenny Padi “for his unprofessional conduct” in the premier league match week 24 encounter at the Baba Yara sports stadium between Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak, the former has taken to its official twitter account to make mockery of the move by their arch rivals, telling them not to “bother yourself”.
Accra Hearts of Oak announced on Tuesday that it has filed official protest against the centre referee of the said match, Kenny Padi, for awarding a “CONTROVERSIAL PENALTY against the club”, and that “Management is disheartened by referee Padi’s poor judgement which subsequently caused us to lose the game”.
The aggrieved Phobians have prayed the Review Committee of the Ghana Football Association “to take a second look at the CONTROVERSIAL PENALTY awarded against the club”, and “to take immediate action to serve as a deterrent to all other future match officials who exercise such indiscretion against any club”.
Reacting to the move by the defending league Champions, Asante Kotoko have told the Phobians to ”Give up” and not ”bother” themselves, implying, that the referee’s decision was rightly made and that the protest is dead on arrival.
The Porcupine Warriors twitted an except video, and tagged the release by Accra Hearts of Oak. The scene in the video is of a TV programme host (a man) with two young men as guests. The host posed a question, asking the guests, “What advice would you give to the Youth?”. One of the guests then responded, saying, “Give up. Don’t bother yourself”.
