In a response to a question during an interview with ghanasportspage. com, the coach of the Central African Republic who drew 1-1 with Ghana yesterday has spiced some hot pepper into the wounds of the Black Stars by claiming Ghana failed to focus on the points properly.
Raoul Savoy Bangui suggests Ghana did not take the match seriously looking at their approach and especially from the selection as almost the entire squad which won against Madagascar was dropped. He did not lament but happily opened up to ghanasportspage on the possibilities which enabled them to claim a point.
“As we planned before the game, we were very disciplined, compact, and had a good group of players. And they do their best, very tactical and organized. I slept very well last night because the team was so disciplined, and I like it”, he said.
The coach who respects Ghana so much touched on the way ahead judging from Ghana representing Africa at the World Cup, saying “Of course, it will be tough, because it’s another story, other games. You know some of the players(in yesterday’s match), they were on the bench, such a strange decision by (the Ghana coach Otto Addo), but it’s okay”.
“But you know football is like this, you can be not troubled one day because you’re good and the day after is in trouble. Yesterday was Afcon qualifiers but the World Cup will be another story, Ghana is a good team”.
“I think Otto Addo and his team underrated my Central African Republic team. I think so because they put some of the good players on the bench but we said it’s okay, we are going to fight and we fought well and had a draw, I am very proud of my team” the coach revealed.
