Asante Kotoko have confirmed that Brazilian midfielder Fabio Gama has left club after two seasons.

Reports reaching the media space indicates that the GPL winner is set to join Bahrain side Muharraq FC.

Speculation over the Brazilian’s future was present throughout the majority of last season as Kotoko supporters watched on, hoping to see him sign a new contract for their African campaign.

Fabio Gama joined the Porcupine Warriors in 2020 and scored five goals in 48 appearances in his two-year stint with the GPL giants.

According to Asante Kotoko SC, Fabio informed Management at the end of the season of his desire to explore other opportunities elsewhere after two successful season with the Club. He explained the personal and family reasons related to the decision and Management are respectful of same.

After an impressive performance in his maiden GPL season, injuries plagued him early in the season, limiting his playing time under Prosper Ogum Narteh.

Fabio Gama leaves Asante Kotoko after the expiration of his contract.

He explained the personal and family reasons related to the decision and Management are respectful of same. It was never an issue of the club’s inability to meet his demands as none was made.
