The Ghanaian football governing body, GFA has invited Asante Kotoko midfielder, Richard Boadu Agadas to appear before the GFA ethics committee according Kessbenonline.com
This follows after the Kotoko midfielder disclosed in a radio interview with Wontumi FM that some of the GPL games were fixed to help former Ashgold striker Yaw Annor to bag goals when Etouga was leading the goal scoring race.
Yaw Annor who joined Egyptian side, Ismaily this morning won the golden boot with 22 equalizing goal scoring record in the Ghana Premier League.
In an interview with Nationwide Sports on Wontumi Tv, the experienced GPL midfielder claimed, “I’m telling you the truth, some Premier League clubs played soft games with AshantiGold SC for him [Yaw Annor] to score to increase his goal tally.”
“There are some goals which you could clearly see that the goals were manufactured.
“For Yaw Annor, I’ll say some of the Ghana Premier League clubs played soft with AshantiGold SC for him to score.” Richard Boadu said.
The Ghana football association has strongly expressed commitment to fight against match-fixing in Ghana football.
The FA, therefore, introduced an integrity hotline as well as a dedicated email address for staff, match officials, club officials, players, event organizers, supporters and the general public to report any suspicion of match manipulation on or off the field of play.
