Ghana Football Association has taken the first step by filing an appeal against the CAF Disciplinary Committee ruling to ban Ghana’s U-17 female team in the next two editions of the FIFA U17 Women’s African Qualifiers and fined $100,000,
The Ghana FA has today, 6th July 2022 officially written to CAF to express its intentions to appeal against the CAF Disciplinary Decision to the CAF Appeal Board.
The Ghana Football Association has expressed its readiness to contest the decision of the CAF Disciplinary committee concerning two U-17 players. Ghana FA has paid the appeal filing fees by Article 58 of the CAF Disciplinary Code.
Ghana’s banned came after a Moroccan protest that Nancy Amoh and Rasheeda Shahadu falsified their birthdate information and are above U17.
The GFA will send the statement of the case of appeal containing the reasons for the appeal within the next seven(7) days allowed per Article 55 of the CAF Disciplinary Code.
