Captain of the Black Stars, Andre Dede Ayew has announced that he is looking to play in the Ghana Premier League one day.
In a video posted on social media by the Ghana Football Association, the ex-U20 World Cup winner said: “I’ve always been a fan of the Ghana Premier League. When we were growing up, the stadiums in the cities and everything will be waiting for Saturday for a big a game to come whether it is Hearts and Kotoko, Oly and Hearts, and those types of games.
I grew up with it. It’s a league which I personally admire. I think about it and maybe I will also play in the Ghana Premier League one day,” Andre Ayew revealed.
The former Swansea forward is now a free agent after agreeing a deal to leave Nottingham Forest after contract expiration.
The Ghanaian has been linked with a move to newly-promoted side, Luton Town FC.
As reported, the officials of the club have identified the Ghanaian star as one of the best players they would want to sign in their quest to excel following their qualification to the English Premier League.
