Asante Kotoko midfielder Baba Yahaya voices frustration over the club’s recent lackluster performances in the Ghana Premier League, highlighting the need for a swift turnaround.
The Porcupines have endured a challenging spell since the resumption of the domestic top-flight campaign, enduring a four-match winless streak for the first time in 14 years, leading to a significant dip in form.
Currently positioned 10th on the league standings after six games in the second round, Kotoko has managed just one victory while suffering five defeats.
In a candid interview with the club’s media, the former King Faisal marksman expresses disappointment, emphasizing that a club of Kotoko’s stature should not be experiencing such a decline in form in the Ghana Premier League.
“As a bid club, we don’t deserve such poor performance in the Ghana Premier League. We engaged ourselves on how we can turn things around as soon as possible” he told the club’s media.
With an upcoming fixture against the Hunters scheduled at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on Saturday, both Asante Kotoko and their opponents aim to secure maximum points as they seek to rejuvenate their respective campaigns.
