Asante Kotoko has reached a verbal agreement with midfielder Emmanuel Antwi, according to the club’s former spokesperson, Obed Acheampong (Sir Obed).
The 24-year-old will join the Porcupines as a free agent after seeing out his contract with Great Olympics, providing a direct replacement for Richmond Lamptey who has expressed his desire to leave the Kumasi-based club.
Antwi had a solid campaign with Great Olympics, making 26 appearances, scoring six goals, and providing five assists.
Although the team suffered demotion to the Division One League, Antwi’s individual performance earned him multiple MVP awards.
With Antwi set to join Kotoko, the club aims to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
