Ghanaian musician Grace Ashy has reflected on her long-standing support for the Black Stars, revealing that she has spent two decades composing songs to motivate the national team.
Speaking about her journey, Ashy highlighted her unwavering commitment to the team through both highs and lows.
“This is the 20th year since I started singing for the Black Stars. We’ve been riding behind the boys regardless of the situation because they can’t do it alone,” she told ghanasportspage.
According to her, music has played a vital role in boosting the morale of players, especially during challenging moments on the international stage.
“My motivation is to give the players morale to help them execute their work,” she added.
Ashy’s contribution underscores the broader role of supporters and creatives in Ghana’s football ecosystem, where music and fan culture often serve as a source of inspiration for players.
She has composed many songs for the Black Stars and released a latest one to motivate the team ahead of the 2026 FIFA WORLD CUP.
