The 2025/26 Ghana Premier league has entered it finishing point with some battling to survive relegation, whiles Medeama SC looks to gather enough points for the title.
With all to take for, in week 31 Medeama SC welcomes Kpando Hearts of Lions FC to the TnA stadium this Sunday with eyes all set on clinching victory. However, head coach Ibrahim Tanko is skeptical a bit, knowing the threat Hearts of Lions FC pose.
The Ghanaian gaffer has cautioned that Heart of Lions will be a difficult side to overcome despite their current league position.
The encounter could prove decisive in the race for the league with Medeama SC currently leading the standings with 59 points and are only two matches away from potentially winning the league crown.
“We know it’s going to be a difficult game. Heart of Lions are a very good team no matter where they are on the table. Last season they finished near the top, and earlier this campaign they were also leading the league after a few matches,” he said during a pre-match conference.
“They are a strong and competitive side, but we managed to beat them 1-0 away from home, so we know what to expect.”
Medeama secured a slim 1-0 victory in the first meeting between the two clubs back in December, a result that may give them added confidence ahead of the clash.
The encounter is slated to kickoff Sunday, May 17 at exactly 3:00pm.
