For the very first time, Tarkwa will host CAF Champions League following Medeama SC clinching the 2025/26 Ghana Premier league title.
The Mauves and Yellow outfit after finishing the campaign with 62 points, stretched Bibiani GoldStars FC off for the major title, to mark their second topflight league trophy. On Sunday, in Tarkwa the two times Champions were officially crown champions of the season.
With club President Moses Armah Parker disclosing that the Tarkwa TnA stadium will host the top tier club football in Africa, CAF Champions league next season. However, the venue is subjected to approval by CAF inspection team.
“Tarkwa will host CAF Champions League football. I assure our supporters that Medeama SC will qualify for the group stage of the CAF Champions League.”
Medeama SC harvested 17 wins, and 6 draws in 34 matches to clinch the title.
The Tarkwa-based outfit will represent Ghana at the CAF Champions league next season, as a result of winning their domestic league.
