Carlos Queiroz is reportedly set to continue as the Ghana Black Stars head coach following the conclusion of his contract on July 31, 2026. According to sources, the experienced Portuguese coach will sign a two-year extension aimed at achieving success in AFCON 2027.
His leadership in the World Cup 2026 saw Ghana reach the knockout phase, where they faced Colombia. Despite the loss, Queiroz’s guidance has been notable.
Earlier speculation claiming his resignation has now been dismissed, and an official confirmation from the Ghana Football Association is pending. Notably, Queiroz recently reassured fans in a viral video that he remains the head coach.
Pending the finalization of his contract, he is expected to lead the team into the AFCON qualifiers.
